Detailed Itinerary
Day
1: Arrive Delhi Arrive Delhi, meeting upon arrival and transfer to
Hotel.
Afternoon - combined tour of Old and New Delhi.
Overnight
at hotel.
Day 2: Delhi - Jaipur Morning after
breakfast leave for Jaipur by car, visiting Enroute, Amer fort to take an
elephant ride to Hilltop fort. Arrival Jaipur early in the afternoon and
proceed to your pre booked hotel.
Reminder of the day at leisure.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 3: Jaipur This morning you
shall have tour of Jaipur city, visiting city Palace complex - which
included the Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds) built in 1799, the Jantra Mantra
observatory, which still is equipped with ancient instruments including a
very accurate 90 foot sundial and the beautiful and colourful city.
Rest of the day at leisure free.
Overnight at hotel.
Day
4: Jaipur - Agra After breakfast leave by car to Agra Enroute
visit Fatehpur Sikri, which is probably the best preserved and most complete
Mughal Palace city of all.
Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at hotel.
Day 5: Agra This morning visit the Taj Mahal, which
was built by Emperor Shah Jehan as a memorial to his queen Mmtaz Mahal. Also
visit the fort and the tomb of Itmad-Ud-Daulah.
Afternoon at leisure,
and perhaps explore the Bazzars in the areas to the west of the fort.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 6: Agra - Gwalior Leave by
for Gwalior, established in the 8th century. It is noted for its hilltop,
which is one of the oldest in India. In the afternoon visit the fort, which
contains the 15th century palace of Raja Mansingh and the Teli-Ka-Mandira,
and ancient temple. Gwalior is also important center of Indian classical
music and each December a great music festival is held here.
Day
7: Gwalior - Orchha After an early breakfast leave for medieval
Orchha. Stopping Enroute at Datia to view the beautiful seven-story hilltop
Gobinda palace, then onto Orchha.

Overnight at hotel.
Day
8: Orchha - Khajuraho This morning drive onto Khajuraho, important
for its magnificent chandela temples. Khajuraho in the afternoon and proceed
to your hotel for overnight stay. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9:
Khajuraho Morning visit to the temples - which form probably one
of the best examples of Indian Art. Afternoon - free to revisit the temples
at your leisure.
Day 10: Khajuraho - Varanasi
Transfer to airport for your flight to Varanasi. On arrival proceed to your
hotel.
Varanasi - the eternal city is the holiest Hindu city in India
and one of the oldest living cities in the world. Afternoon city tour.
Visiting the temples in the old city and the Emperors Aurangzebs
Mosque.
Overnight at hotel.
Day
11: Varanasi Early morning boat rides on the Ganges to view the
sunrise and to see the rituals that takes place along the Ghats (waterside
steps). Afternoon - visit Sarnath to see the Chinese and the Buddhist
temples and the interesting Sarnath museum.
Overnight at hotel.
Day 12: Varanasi - Delhi - Departure Transfer to airport for
flight to Delhi, upon arrival meeting at airport and transfer to
international airport.
